Abstract:
This study has four main objectives: 1) To make a general assessment of the nature of underdevelopment and the task of economic development in Zambia and its development plans and aspirations. 2) To assess the role of agriculture and agricultural development in Zambia's economic development. 3) To identify the functions and some of the prominent problems that have faced and continue to face marketing boards in Zambia. 4) Provide a diagnosis of the workings of the National Agricultural Marketing Board.
